Portraits: Kana Benz

I was going through my hard drives and come across these portraits that I did for a great dancer, Kana Benz. She wanted to get some images of herself in a easy setting so we shot this in Irvine at the college out there. We got to sneak into their theatre and took advantage of the backgrounds there. Great place to shoot because the lighting was perfect and they had a grand piano that wasn't locked like they normally are. From time to time Kana has some fantastic dance concerts that you should check out. You can find her on Facebook. In the meantime enjoy these beauties from the short past.

Portraits: Dalia Perla

Last week I got to work with the beautiful and talented Dalia Perla. We set out to Sherman Oaks and captured some great moments. We had fun thinking of ways to make her laugh. At times she felt a bit awkward having a big lens pointed at her but after some dumb jokes and a great imagination she soon posed like a pro. I had a great time making some fantastic shots that she would be able to use in her portfolio. Here's a few of my favs. Enjoy!!

Portraits: Senior Portraits

Recently I got to participate in a very fun Senior Session Roundup. I got to work with 3 great high school seniors. We went out to an abandoned farm out in Santa Clarita and went at it.

Senior Portraits are no longer a boring backdrop where you sit on a stool and put up your best fake smile. We have evolved! Now it's about showing your stuff and getting a better visual of who you were in high school. Lots more fun and lots more to see. Portraits: 1st Semi-Annual Portrait Party

Well if you were there you know what a great time we all had. If you weren't then you get another chance around Halloween. I'm talking about my Portrait Party! I invited friends, family & neighbors to come and sit in on some free portraits.

There was music, food and lots of laughs. The portrait party lasted all day and I even had the help of makeup and hair stylist Shannon Kurowski. As you can see the results were great. Everyone let loose and I captured the antics.
